Happy Holidays and a Heartfelt “Thank You”!

Dear Members and Supporters of NYSPTA,

It pleases me to wish you all a safe and happy holiday season.  I have often expressed that there is something truly special about the New York State Parking and Transportation Association.  That “special” thing is you!  While I am extremely proud of the Association’s ability to advance its mission throughout the years (https://www.nysparkingandtransportation.com/what-we-do), I am mostly happy about the manner in which we do it.  I refer to this group (our Association) as “special” because nowhere else will you find such a complete collection of kind, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, generous and selfless individuals.   I would also be remiss if I did not share a warm, heartfelt “thank you” for your friendship and support, especially over the last two (2) years when I have served as President of the Association.

I am also truly excited about the future of the Association.  It would be difficult to find a more caring and enthusiastic leader than incoming President Krista Tassa.  Krista will enter 2024 with an incredible group of eleven (11) other Board Members who all share the same kindness and enthusiasm.  We wish them all the very best and we are delighted to know that the Association is in great hands.

Now join me and in true NYSPTA fashion, raise a glass and toast an amazing year in retrospect, followed by another toast wishing you all a happy, safe, and healthy New Year.

Best regards,

Patrick H. Phillips

President

New York State Parking & Transportation Association

That's a WRAP!

While NYSPTA’s summer retreat is behind us, summer has just begun...happy summer everyone!

Our Summer Retreat never fails to entertain.  The morning was kicked off with NYSPTA’s President Patrick Phillips opening remarks thanking both Flash Parking and AMG Parking & Management for their sponsorship and a review of this past spring’s events.

Pat was thrilled to announce that both the Spring Fling at Pace University and the Robotic webinar were heavily attended.

Our educational and most interesting panel discussion included:

  • Matt Gaeta, AMG Parking

  • Blake Laufer, MiStall

  • Bill Bernatovich, BerNational Automation

  • Will Bernatovich, BerNational Controls,

  • Our very own Pat Phillips, Premium Parking

The lovely and talented Krista Tassa, AMG Parking, served as the facilitator.

The rain held out (the rain dances the evening before worked) and following the panel discussion we enjoyed an all-you-can-eat clambake, with competitive lawn games. All had a great time and several attendees overstayed the time allowed!

The Western NY Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders was the charity of choice at this year’s events raising $865!  NYSPTA’s members are known to be a very giving group and this year did not disappoint. Thank you to HONK and Renee Giacomazza for their generous donations by way of raffle baskets. We cannot ignore FLASH’s Chris Patrick’s efforts, which really kicked it up several notches by his willingness to get dunked!  What a hoot he was - not to mention wet as a lot of our participants had the perfect throw!

NYSPTA would also like to congratulate Renee Giacomazza on her return as the association’s facilitator.  She’s back home and we're thrilled to have her.

The NYSPTA event team is in full steam ahead mode planning for the Fall Conference and Exhibit show slated October 17-19, at Turning Stone Resort and Casino.

Block the dates in your calendar and stay tuned for more details as they unfold!
